What is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a bit of misnomer. Bonding is actually only part of this treatment process. Dental bonding is a cosmetic treatment that utilizes the tooth-colored composite resin materials used for fillings to correct and conceal smile irregularities. The bonding part of the process is the application of an acidic etchant that creates deeper pits and grooves in the surfaces of teeth, so the composite resin can mold naturally to the tooth enamel, leaving you with a perfected smile that makes use of your existing dental structures.
