2D Panoramic X-Ray
There are many types of X-rays that dentists can capture in order to learn more about the state of your oral health. With our in-house 2D panoramic X-ray device, we can collect highly detailed and fully comprehensive images of your mouth’s many underlying structures, specifically your tooth roots and bone tissue. We can also confirm the presence of advanced periodontal disease, cysts, impacted teeth, jaw disorders, and other conditions as part of your routine preventive care. Receiving the X-ray is totally painless, only takes a minute or so to complete, and does not allow any radiation to remain in the body afterwards.

Intraoral Camera
If you’ve ever wanted a better look at your own mouth, our intraoral camera can help! This comfortable, camera-tipped wand captures high-resolution images of your teeth and gums and transmits them instantly to a convenient monitor in the room. Then, our doctors and team members can use the visual aid to review your oral health with you in a much clearer fashion, pointing out potential problems, explaining treatment options, and more. Digital X-Rays
Older patients surely remember the days of film x-rays and all the pitfalls associated with them – long wait times, too much radiation exposure, and bulky filing systems, to name a few. Thankfully, our doctors brought this essential technology into the modern age by providing digital radiography instead. Now, the process of capturing and developing X-rays of your smile for viewing happens in only seconds, and the digital files can be color-coded and enhanced as needed. Better yet, radiation exposure is reduced by up to 80% for a much safer patient experience!
Digital Impressions
When designing a new crown, bridge, or other restorations, impressions of the affected teeth are necessary to ensure a precise and comfortable design. However, plenty of patients are familiar with the unpleasant, “gag-worthy” sensation of physical impression materials in their mouth. At Legacy Dental SA, we’ve replaced this goop with a digital impression system that’s a big improvement. Now, capturing impressions can be completed with a simple, precise scan. Better yet, the accuracy of this technique results in far fewer time-consuming retakes needed, which is good news for the patient.
